686 Technical Apparel is proud to announce the partnership and support of the So-Gnar Snowboard Camp Tour, helping bring high tech, good times to resorts and campers across the U.S. this winter.

So-Gnar Snowboard Camp Tour, started in 2004 as an affordable camp experience and a way to inspire kids to enjoy snowboarding, will feature local 686 team riders and f(am)ily at tour stops, coaching campers and giving away 686 products including certificates for free outerwear to lucky campers.

“Being part of So-Gnar’s snowboard camp movement is important to 686 because their actions represent the frontline of what we believe is important in our industry – giving back and inspiring kids to go snowboarding and have fun together on the mountain,” explains 686 team captain Patrick McCarthy. “The fact that the kids get to not only feel the stoke while learning from their local pros, but also get inspired to be creative with their free time through art, music and other endeavors was a no-brainer to support!”

Local 686 f(am)ily riders, including Austin Young, Chris Corning, Max Lyons, Joe Bosler, Matt Wainhouse and other 686 team riders will be at the two-day camps throughout Colorado, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Washington riding with and coaching the campers, helping them progress their snowboarding while enjoying the snowboarding lifestyle.

“The So-Gnar Snowboard Camp Tour is our way, along with any company involved, to give back to 14 communities around the country by bringing the experience, atmosphere and fun of far-away expensive snowboards camps to local shred spots,” explains Damon Michaels of So-Gnar.

686 joins Zumiez, Bern, Snowboard Mag, Steez Mag, GoPro, Stance, Zeal Optics, Echelon Snowboards and a handful of other brands in support of the So-Gnar Snowboard Camp Tour.

The first So-Gnar Snowboard Camp kicks off this weekend, Dec 7 at Loveland Ski Area. Registration is available at www.so-gnar.com or on site the day of the camp.
