Approach:Make a small setup turn and keep your eyes on the lip. Since you’re transferring, turn on the jump a little more than you normally would, but don’t put too much pressure on your toes.
Takeoff: Stay centered on your board—you don’t need to wind up like other tricks, so keep your shoulders square until you’re in the air.
Maneuver: Once you’ve popped off, start turning your head toward your back shoulder. Unlike with bigger spins, you can grab before 90 degrees and hold it all the way.
Landing: Spot the landing over your rear shoulder. By 90 degrees, you’ll know if you got it right or not and can correct as needed. Stay square over your board and land flat based.
